CEO (Acting) Patricia Maher
Trish Maher is our acting CEO. Trish has more than 10 years experience at LVV and a strong familiarity with our staff, residents and their families.
With over 25 years of nursing experience, Trish came to LVV with a background working in emergency at Latrobe Regional Hospital as well as 6-8 years experience in their rehabilitation unit. Trish started at LVV as a Registered Nurse and moved into the position of Facility Care Manager in 2020.
Trish was appointed acting CEO in 2021 and has worked with the board in preparation for our new CEO appointment in 2022.
Born and raised locally, Shonna completed her Bachelor of Nursing in 2004 and completed her Graduate year at Monash Medical Centre Clayton and Moorabbin. She worked for both Dandenong and Frankston hospitals over the next 6 years in areas of Radiology, specifically in the Cardiac Catheter lab and Angiography with 2 years experience covering the medical and surgical wards. Shonna moved on to work for Royal District Nursing for the next 6 years before returning to the Latrobe Valley and commencing Maternity leave.
After working in Aged Care Management in Traralgon she moved to LVV in 2019 working in care planning and funding. She joined the LVV Care Management team in 2020 as the ACFI Coordinator.
Shonna is passionate about maintaining the strong level of clinical care offered at LVV and supporting all of our nursing staff to be able to work at their best. She lives on 14 acres with her partner and 2 children and spends her time out of work looking after horses and enjoying all things outdoors
Katie was born next door to LVV at the old Moe hospital and grew up in Hill End. She completed her Bachelor of Nursing in Bendigo and returned home to the country to complete her Graduate year in Sale.
Katie has over 20 years nursing experience across both Moe and Latrobe Regional hospitals, working largely within the Hospital in the Home program. She has worked as a Registered Nurse at LVV and was promoted to the role of Clinical Care Coordinator in 2020.
Katie and her husband have raised their 3 daughters at Tanjil South where they have spent 15 years as dairy farmers and have now converted to beef.
